Kids

Pray for my kids today.

Their daddy came over to say goodbye before he flies out late tomorrow. After he left, my oldest came to me in tears. Daddy had told him that he should just a find a new, better daddy.

His response? To go to his room, and through tears, write his daddy a note about how much he loves him and how he is the best daddy in the world and he doesn't want a new one. Asked me to give it to him to read on the plane, but wouldn't come out of his room again while Daddy was here.

Then he sobbed in my arms later, after he was gone.

That hurts today... why must they suffer so much?

Other than that, I went to Bible study, and something sunk into my head. I'll write about it later. I'm tired, very tired today.

O man! Sounds like your husband is in the depths of despair. I will pray for him to truly get help these next two weeks.

I'll be praying for you and your kids as you deal with the fallout.

Rest.

I am so sorry, Ellie. Praying for your son and your other children as they grieve. Praying for deep rest for you. Begging God for a breakthrough in the heart of your husband during these next two weeks. Asking the Father to restore joy to you all.

You are right, Beth, sounds like the depths of despair and he is obviously not thinking straight! Will be praying...

I talked to him about it last night and he said what he said was that the kids "deserve" a better daddy who is not angry at them.

Perhaps he meant it as an apology, but they did not hear that, so it hurt them.

I still worry about him being depressed and so down.

He's over tonight again to see the kids before he leaves. Let's pray he can do better with them then. And pray for the time gone, too!
