Feeling Down

Life has been busy.  In the middle of all the business, I am trying to get some extra stuff done.  I'm tired.

Today, I got a lot accomplished.  Got paperwork in order, finalized some dates, made contact with people I need to meet.  Thought I was doing good.

But I ran into one person who's got me down.  Nothing I did was right today in this person's eyes.  Every time I turned around, I was met with a complaint.

"shouldn't have done that"

"you should have done this that way'

"why did you do that?"

Everything I've done is wrong.  I even managed to invite someone for dinner the "wrong" way.

I'm feeling down.  The wind stolen from my sails.  More tired.  The high feeling I had from getting all this "stuff" done gone.

Hello Ellie,
I found your blog through the CoffeeGirl Confessions.
My prayer for you is that today through this all, God will meet you in your tiredness and busy-ness and uncertainty.
Since moving to the field, I have found that moments like these certainly come into life more often than back home.
Thank you for your honesty!
Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings llike eagles. They will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.
May our God eternal be your strength!

So annoying, to have that one big negative, the "fly in the ointment". :( Hang in there, focus on the things that make you feel like you've accomplished something. And definitely eat some chocolate, it helps! lol

I agree with the chocolate and the use of Isaiah 40:31. and I want to add 2 Cor. 4:8-9 to that: We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. Chin up Ellie, He is on your side.
